Welcome to the Caravan!

As a group of traveling yoga teachers with a deep love of Bhakti, Mantras and music, Gypsy Tears was brought together in January of 2011 with the vision of creating a mantra CD to share the gift of Kirtan with the world.  With most of the band members living nomadic lifetsyles, like yogic gypsies, we knew our name should reflect that transient nature that we have been embodying and that is present in the material world.  And as our love of travels and music and mantra brought us together… it also keeps us apart, bringing us to tears!  But not just tears of sadness of our distance and separation… but tears of joy that hold us together in the heart and that hold us in devotion through these songs.

We hope you enjoy the music and sing along… loudly and freely!  The melodies are composed by a variety of musical artists and invoke the essence of the Gods and Goddesses to whom we sing.
